WHEN WILL MY MEALS BE DELIVERED?
As of 30th March 2020, all meals will be delivered on a Monday during business hours, approximately 9am-3pm for both Residential addresses and Workplaces. Occasionally we may have delays due to large order quantities.
Order cut off dates and times as well as corresponding delivery dates are listed at the top of the Order page.
WHERE DO YOU DELIVER TO?
We are a NSW Central Coast business and currently servicing Central Coast suburbs and Newcastle suburbs. Please see our DELIVERY page for precise Postcodes we deliver to.
CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?
Unfortunately, at this time, we aren't offering collection. Delivery however is free to Central Coast suburbs on orders over $100 or is charged at $10 for all other Central Coast orders. Newcastle delivery is a flat rate of $15 per order.
ARE YOUR MEALS FRESH OR FROZEN?
All of the food prepared by Nourished Herbivore is fresh and designed to be stored in the fridge, below 5 degrees C.
DO YOU USE OIL IN YOUR FOOD?
The majority of our items do not contain added oil. We believe in a Whole Food approach. There is the odd item occasionally that may contain small amounts of oil. This will be listed in the ingredients of each item, when available soon.
WHAT IS THE NUTRITIONAL INFO OF MY FOOD?
Each individual item has the nutritional information stated. You will find the Calories and Macro breakdown as an image on each item and the ingredient list under the "Ingredients & Allergens" tab.
We are also currently working on listing all of our available meals on the My Fitness Pal app, for simplicity with tracking purposes.
HOW LONG WILL MY FOOD STAY FRESH FOR?
All of our freshly prepared meals have their own expiration date. Generally speaking, there is a fridge life of 4-5 days after you receive your meals. Please check the individual item for specific expiry dates.
HOW DO I STORE MY MEALS?
All meals and snacks should be refrigerated immediately upon receipt. Fresh meals should be consumed within 4-5 days. Although our meals are designed to be kept in the fridge, most items are also freezable (excluding salads). If life gets in the way and you find you need to freeze meals, do so before the expiration date and consumed within 3 months.
Sourdough also follows the same rules. You may wish to slice your sourdough before freezing, or leave whole, entirely your preference. Sourdough should be placed in an appropriate freezer bag or container before freezing.
HOW SHOULD I HEAT MY MEALS?
Meals can be re-heated in a number of ways.
Our main recommendation is reheating in the microwave for approximately 2-3 minutes, depending on the wattage of your microwave. Meals can also be removed from our packaging and reheated in the oven or frypan, at a moderate temperature, for approximately 15 mins.
Add an additional 2 minutes to reheating times when starting from frozen. Be sure to stir frequently to ensure food is heated evenly.
Family serve meals are packaged in foil containers and must not be placed directly in to a microwave. Please remove the cardboard lid of the foil container, if you wish to heat this meal in the oven. Replacing it with a piece of foil would be best for this method of reheating. Alternatively, portion out this meal, in to your own regular microwave safe dishes, and heat individual portions at a time.
IS YOUR PACKAGING ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY OR RECYCLABLE?
All packaging used by Nourished Herbivore is Recyclable. this is a very important aspect for us. Each element can be recycled in the following way...

Shipping materials, such as Cardboard Box, Insulation and Icepacks, we encourage you to leave them out for us to collect on your next order.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT OPTIONS?
Currently, our only payment option is via Debit Card or Credit Card, directly on the website, at your time of order.

DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?
Not at this stage but we are currently working on this as an option for you. Check back again soon.
CAN YOU CATER FOR EVENTS?
Yes, absolutely. We often cater for events, whether is be larger events such as weddings or parties, corporate events or small gatherings. Please contact us to chat about your requirements and options.
DO YOU DO MARKETS?
We do! We are currently only doing Vegan Markets, located in Gosford and Newcastle but soon to expand further.
